Architectural Carved Glass

Back Home

The experience of engraving glass has been termed a journey through the art of light.  To have and appreciate such a piece of art provides one a sojourn in one’s own journey of life.

Various types of architectural glass art projects can be custom made – hand painted, stained, sandblasted, etched, engraved, carved – using any designs, diagram, photos, or pictures provided by the client.  Such glass art can be used on doors, windows, divider screens, and ceilings.

The magical qualities of glass — something requiring both fire and water in its creation — are timeless in their beauty.  Etched glass captures and enhances these innate qualities, transforming what’s often considered ordinary into something mesmerizing and extraordinary.

Various ancient and modern techniques are employed in the creation of etched, engraved, or painted art glass: diamond point line and stipple engraving, drill engraving, sand or acid etching, copper wheel engraving, to name the most common.  Most artists gravitate towards a small set of techniques.

In terms of its functionality, glass has become indispensable in modern architecture.  In terms of its decorative flair, however, we believe there is tremendous untapped potential for modern architecture.  We, therefore, invite you to consider combining the functionality and beauty of art glass in your next construction or building project.
